Albanian Premier Edi Rama stood firm to his refusal to Kosovo Premier Albini Kurti’s proposal for a high-level meeting between the two countries. Kurti had proposed a meeting including Albanian President Ilir Meta, Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi, Rama and himself, also the Speakers of both parliaments, to draw a joint plan against coronavirus.

Speaking to Çim Peka LIVE host Çim Peka on Syri TV, Rama said it would be merely a propaganda meeting.

“I haven’t found as reasonable such a propaganda meeting. What pandemic would we fight with that format? Meanwhile there were other problems too in Kosovo. I don’t know how you see it, but for me it was a show and I did not consider taking part”, Rama told Peka.

Rama also said he will not back off from his civil lawsuit against former Kosovo Premier Ramush Haradinaj, responding to Peka’s alluding that all Kosovo Prime Ministers that had problems with President Thaçi had problems with Rama too.

"I never had problems with Isa Mustafa. My history with Ramush is known, it’s scandalous and it has nothing to do with Hashim Thaçi. I am not Hashim Thaçi. As for Albin, I haven’t had any peculiar problem with him. We said what we had to say, but we didn’t have any actual problem. If Ramush is your source, tell me, so I can add to the lawsuit file”.

Asked whether he would go forward with the lawsuit, Rama responded: “It’s in process. It is not a trial I will back off from”.
