Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha has denied voices of a secret meeting with Albanian Premier Edi Rama during the lockdown imposed by the government to slow down the spread of coronavirus.

Basha rejected the voices as untrue and accused Rama of choosing to attack the opposition instead of cooperation in such hard times for the country.  

“There was no attempt to meet him. Why should I? You have seen his behavior. When we proposed measures he insulted us from the parliament”, Basha told host Blendi Fevziu on the Opinion show on the national television Klan. “Then, when he saw what was happening, instead of taking a statesman position, he spread panic, speaking about dog meat, cat meat, coffins and stuff like that. This is a regime and the regime is not expecting phone calls from the opposition”.
