A team of 30 Albanian doctors and nurses will fly to Bergamo, Italy, today to help the city in its fight against the coronavirus. The Italian daily Corriere della Sera reports the Albanian team will fly top Rome to reach Bergamo later.

The Albanian medical help for Bergamo is the outcome of an agreement between Albanian Premier Edi Rama and the Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, according to abcnews.al.

The medical team will stay in Italy for one month and will be paid by the Albanian government. Doctors will be paid €3000 per month, nurses €2500. The entire fund of 11 million Albanian Lek for the medical personnel will be received from the State's reserve budget.

Corriere della Sera quotes the Albanian Premier saying he could not bear watching Italy in such difficulties and he would help because Albanians love Italy.

Italian FM Di Maio will welcome the medical team in the Rome airport.
