Chairman of the Democratic Party (PD) Lulzim Basha has urged the Albanian government to declare the state of emergency for natural disaster in the whole country.

Basha asked the government to order the shutdown of the producing businesses with a high density of workers, textile and footwear industry, and call centers as possible red spots of the coronavirus spread.

The opposition chief also urged Edi Rama's government not to delay the economic package which the government says is ready and to start working for the preparation of another one, because the first is “clearly insufficient”.

Basha repeated his call to the Albanian citizens to respect the social distancing and having faith the worst will soon pass away.
