The Albanian government has order the lockdown of capital Tirana and Durrës, west of the capital at the Adriatic coast, as a precaution measure against the spread of coronavirus.
The decisions means almost every movement will be banned during the weekend, excluding emergency cases and firms dealing with supplies for shops and drugstores with food and medicaments. Each of the later firms must register their designated drivers and works at the police department of the city.
The Bank of Albania also announced it will suspend the payments of loans installemtns from citizens and companies in order to avoid gatherings and queues at the banks.
So far, 23 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Albania, confirmed by the Ministry of Health.
