Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha blamed the government for the spread of coronavirus in Albania, citing the expired masks used by doctors and nurses as the source of infection of the citizens.

“This is not the time for panic, it’s time for caution”, Basha told a press conference today. “If panicked, we won’t be able to take care of ourselves and families, especially our elders, who need it more”.

“I’d like to share an extraordinary concern. The sanitary personnel is risking with expired masks. They become the first victims and transmitters of the virus, this is a total irresponsibility”, said Basha for the government lack of proper measures.  

“Our hospitals are totally unprepared for a flux of patients that need hospital treatment. This is the chronicle of a failure”.
