The Democratic Party (PD) has made concrete proposals over the funding of the political parties during the electoral campaigns. PD proposed that the persons who have received taxpayers money through government contracts, concessions or procurements must be excluded from contributing to the political parties campaigns.
The proposal was revealed by the Democrat representative in the table for the electoral reform, Oerd Bylykbashi.
“We must find a solution that guarantees not only the funding of the parties according to the law, but also offers full transparency and is impossible to avoid. This is our position and we stood firm to it”, Bylykbashi said.
“The proposal of the opposition is for a drastic reduction of funding from private sources, applying the international standards of a rapport of 66% of financing from state sources and 33% from private sources, putting a few strong restrictions for the donors”.
