Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha met today EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca to talk about the political crisis in the country, EU integration and the electoral reform.

The Democrat chief stood firm in his position that earlier election must be called as soon as possible as the only way out of the crisis.

“Our battle is for new elections as soon as possible, so that Albanians could have the possibility to elect with their votes institutions and a government which would serve and offer them new jobs and economy in order to build their lives here”, Basha said. “Everything we are witnessing in this country, the lack of hope and the economic crisis, is a product of the political crisis. The political crisis has been created by the KÇK mentality (“catch whatever you can” in Premier Rama’s own words – Syri.net). KÇK is the government, the Prime Minister and his instruments in the government”.

Basha added the opposition will do its best to finish the electoral reform before March 15, but not everything depends from it.
