Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha reacted after a report from the US Chamber of Commerce that corruption is the main reason why Albania lacks foreign investments.

According to the report, the investments go to Serbia and North Macedonia, whereas Albania has the necessary potential to attract investments, but it is damaged by the corruption.

“The US Chamber of Commerce has reached (unsurprisingly) at the conclusion that corruption is the main problem that leaves Albania behind concerning the foreign investments. The corruption in the highest levels is stealing unforgivably the future of our country”, Basha said.

“The potential for development is being ruined by a government that has corruption and seizing the state in its core”.
