The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SPAK) has filed the lawsuit made by the Democratic Party (PD) against ministers Sandër Lleshaj and Besa Shahini, and Mayors Erion Veliaj, Artur Bushi, Valbona Sako, and former Mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako.

The Democrats accuses the high officials of “abuse of office”, “negligent homicide”, “violation of equality of participants in public tenders and procurements”, “passive corruption of persons in public functions”, and “passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials”.

PD is holding the ministers and mayors responsible for the deaths of many people and damages in infrastructure caused by the earthquake of November 26, 2019.
