The Democratic Party condemned today the decision of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SPAK) not to investigate Premier Edi Rama over electoral rigging charges, in the framework of the dossier 184, saying SPAK risks to turn into a supplement of the Socialist Party.

“SPAK is risking turning itself into a supplement of the Socialist Party. With the decision not to investigate Edi Rama in the dossier 184 of the electoral rigging in Dibra, (SPAK’s head) Arben Kraja undermined the trust in SPAK”, former minister of justice Enkelejd Alibeaj said today.

“The investigator of the communist dictatorship that today runs the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution, Arben Kraja, has not been appointed at the helm of SPAK to punish the politicians in power, but to protect them”, said Alibeaj. “His unlawful and politic decision not to investigate the serious crime of rigging the electios in DIbra serves to the head of the structured crime group, Edi Rama, the one that ordered the electoral massacre in Dibra three years and half ago”.
