Albanian President Ilir Meta sent a condolences message to the Turkish people at the wake of the earthquake that hit Turkey on Friday.

“I have been watching the situation in our friend Turkey full of concern and deep pain”, Meta wrote on Facebook.

“Shocked by the human casualties, I express my deepest condolences to their families and loved ones, to the entire Turkish people, and to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, praying not to have other losses of human lives. I wish quick recovery to all the injured persons. In these difficult moments, the Albanian people and I are by the side of our friend Turkey”.
