The Albanian Ministry of Education has shut down the school “Saadi” that was funded by Iran and was opened several years ago in the capital Tirana. The shut down decision is signed by the Minister of Education Besa Shahini.
The decision does not give details on why the school was shut down, but it comes only a few days after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expelled two diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
One of the diplomats declared as persona non grata was head of the Saadi Shiraz foundation that supported the school financially.
