Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha promised to Albanian citizens that the future government will never be caught unprepared in cases of natural disasters like it was the case with the devastating earthquake of November 26, 2019, which killed 52 persons and destroyed thousands of buildings.

Basha made his promise in a video message from the region Friuli-Venezia-Giulia in Italy.

The Democrat chairman said they had just finished a presentation in the Operative Center for the Civilian Protection, where it was agreed the Italian experience, among the best in the world, will serve to train the Albanian civil emergencies.

“I promise that the future government will not be caught unprepared in front of natural disasters, be it earthquakes or other tragedies. We’ll have an instrument of immediate response to help the residents with qualified staff and equipment”, Basha said in his message.
