Kosovo will boycott the ceremony of delivering the Nobel Prize in Literature to the Austrian writer Peter Handke. It was announced by Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli who also appealed to Albania to follow suit and abandon the ceremony where a supporter of Slobodan Milosevic’s policy will be honored.
"Kosovo will not attend the Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm this year. I confirm our Ambassador, Ms. Shkëndije Shkëndije Geci Sherifi, will boycott the event due to the prize’s contradictory winner, Peter Handke, a buddy and supporter of Milosevic’s policy. I expect the Ambassador of Albania will act similarly”, Pacolli wrote on his Facebook page.
