Chairman of the Republican Party (PR) Fatmir Mediu commented the serious threats to the free speech and the media censorship in Albania.

Mediu said that “the closure of the independent online portals by Edi Rama’s government and Rama’s continuous intentional attacks against media are absurd, irresponsible, and they threaten the freedom of press and the citizens’ right for information”.

“Every media has the right and freedom to show facts no matter if the Prime Minister likes or dislikes them. The closure of the portals is clearly a characteristic of the authoritarian regimes”.
