Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha sent a video-message to Albanian citizens from Leipzig, where he is attending the congress of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). Basha said he has had meetings with German industrialists that promised him investments in Albania once the Democratic Party (PD) comes to power.

“I had the pleasure to talk with several leading figures in CDU, prominent names, extraordinary contributors to Albania, like Dr. Johann Wadephul, while today I expect to meet with the chairwoman of the sister party and the Minister of Defense”, Basha said, adding that the talking was focused “firstly on the issue of Albania’s European integration”.

“I’d like to share some good news with you, we also focused on the economic plan, which, as you may remember, was drafted with the help of the best CDU and Konrad Adenauer economic experts. We are continuing our cooperation with them, especially concerning German investments in the field of technology which would open tens of thousands of jobs, especially for the youth”, Basha said.
