Albanian President Ilir Meta reserved some harsh words for Premier Edi Rama and some international partners concerning the constitutional crisis in the country. Meta said “Edi Rama and some international clowns” are blocking the functioning of the Constitutional Court.

Meta’s harsh comment came after the vetting commission decided to dismiss the Judge of the Constitutional Court Benik Muçi on the grounds of unjustified assets in his capacity as a prosecutor.

“There is only one solution for Rama and some international clowns, the referendum. Keep your hands away from the Constitutional Court”, Meta appealed.

Concerning Muçi’s dismissal, Meta said he was not surprised because “ever since his first day in office he was under pressure to become part of the coup to obstruct Marsida Xhaferllari who took the oath as a member of the Constitutional Court”.
