The Democratic Party (PD) has reacted after a proposal from the ruling Socialist Party (PS) for the elections administration to be performed by the employees of the public administration.

Secretary General of PD Gazment Bardhi said Premier Edi Rama has no intention to make an electoral reform.

“Edi Rama has no intention to make an electoral reform that can guarantee the freedom of vote, he only laughs at OSCE/ODIHR, Bundestag, Albanians. His only intention is to sanction by law the standard of June 30, when he administered the process alone”, Bardhi said.

According to the Democrat Sec Gen, the Socialist proposal has the same intention of administering the general elections by employees under Rama’s dependence.

“The public administration cannot be trusted with the administration of an electoral process of European standards. The ODIHR Report has proven the administration employees are under political pressure and it has become clear it is full of PS militants. The wiretaps in the investigative dossier 339 in Durrës and 184 in Dibra have brought undeniable evidence that the administration, breaking the law, is at Rama’s service to reach the objective of stealing the elections”.
