Albanian journalist Poli Hoxha has commented for Syri TV the shocking incident that took place on Friday, when a prosecutor was shot by unidentified persons. As a result of the attack, the prosecutor Arjan Ndoja and another person in the car received non-threatening wounds, while Ndoja’s chauffeur is fighting for his life.
Hoxha, a criminality and police work pundit for Syri.net, said the incident was to be expected, not quite literally as it is being speculated by the media considering the fact the prosecutor was verbally attacked by Premier Edi Rama, but “for everything that has been conceived in years and now it has erupted because it is about arguably the most important center where criminal economic interests overlap”.
“We’re talking about a city (Durrës) with the biggest harbor in the country, a major drugs traffic hub; it’s the most coveted district concerning the shore lands and property, and all the dirty money, all the criminal organizations, their economic interests are interweaved there”, Hoxha said.
He added he fears for the innocent lives, because the criminal gangs “are so ferocious that they do what they intend to do in public places. It’s about many real estates and traffic lines and I am not sure how it will be solved. But the state has fallen, that’s for sure”.
