The new director of the Albanian customs house Gjon Bardhi has been accused by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha for involvement in the contraband of Chinese goods smuggled in Albania. Earlier, Bardhi has been the Mayor of Fushë Kruja and in 2014 managed to escape to an attempt in his life with explosives.

The explosive blew off his Mercedes Benz which was parked outside a restaurant in the village Larushk where Bardhi was in a wedding.
