Albanian Premier Edi Rama has sent a coded message to Premier Edi Rama during a joint press conference with North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovkski.

Meta hailed as mature the decision of North Macedonian Premier Zaev to step down following the failure to open negotiations with EU, hinting Rama should follow suit.

“There was reflection in North Macedonia with the elections, which shows maturity. We must have immediate reflection too and read carefully all the obligations we must meed”, Meta said.

“We must strengthen our rapports with the critical countries like France, The Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, and others. We have to convince them for our seriousness”.

“It’s not enough to say France has its own domestic problems and is using us if we are a source of their problems concerning criminality and asylum seekers”, Meta added, referring to Premier Rama’s excuses that Albania did everything right but France and The Netherlands have their own domestic problems.
