Experts from the Democratic Party (PD) and other opposition parties held a meeting today concerning the Electoral Reform. The working group of the opposition that was announced on Wednesday revised the two first items, the financing of the political campaigns and the elections administration.

The group’s chairman, Secretary General of PD Gazmend Bardhi said the opposition is determined to contribute to the reform, which is one of the nine conditions set by the German Bundestag for the opening of membership negotiations with EU.

“We propose to the majority a mechanism to work together, when it should have been the government to reach for the opposition”, Bardhi told media reporters after the meeting.

The expert from the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Silva Caka said: “The only measure taken by (Premier) Edi Rama is a personal declaration and we know pretty well Edi Rama never keeps his promises and it means simply laughing at the Albanian citizens”.
