Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha responded to Premier Edi Rama’s declarations in the parliament today, where he attacked everyone for his government’s failures, assuming no responsibility for himself.

Rama accused the media and the anti-enlargement EU members for his failure to open the membership negotiations.

“Albania is in a state of deep crisis in economy, politics, employment. The nine conditions set by Bundestag form the most concise guide for the way out of this crisis”, Basha said.

“We have no time to lose with individuals who have failed, stolen, destroyed and do not want to assume any responsibility. It’s time for the responsible persons to show they know how to become masters of this country”.

“The truth is the responsibility for the fourth failure to open the negotiations falls on Edi Rama in person and on nobody else. It is his personal failure, it is not Albania’s or Albanian citizens’ failure. He promised to open the negotiations and failed, like he failed with any other promise”.
