Albanian Premier Edi Rama has found out and attacked the foreign and domestic enemies that are blocking the country’s path towards EU integration. According to Rama, EU member countries and the opposing media are the ones to blame for his government’s failure to fulfill the necessary conditions for the opening of negotiations with EU.
Addressing the parliament where there are only Socialist MPs and some others selected by him, Rama attacked the media that are his opponents. And, when Rama speaks about the media, it’s clear which ones he means. It is the media like Syri.net which he sent the police to and lately the taxation authorities for the minimal costs of an online portal.
“It’s the media that only write and tarnish, the media that spread the news in EU”, Rama said in the parliament. For him, the media is against the opening of negotiations with EU.
“It is these media that spread news in EU and it is them that do not want the integration. That’s correct, they do not want it”.
Earlier, the Albanian Prime Minister accused several EU member countries that do not want the enlargement and for that reason do not open the green light to Albania.
“There are countries in EU that are against the enlargement. EU is experiencing an inner debate, imposed by the domestic dynamics for the enlargement and related to an entire period of crisis due to the refugees’ influx. Albania is more ready than other countries were. Today, any of EU members would not be able to become a member because the conditions have become harder”, Rama said, accusing all but his corrupt government that is the main reason why EU does not decide to open the negotiations with Albania.
