The Democratic Party (PD) said today the “verdict that saved Saimir Tahiri from prison was a serious blow to all Albanians that hoped until the last minute that justice would prevail and the powerful politicians would be punished and that law would be equal for all”.

Secretary General of the Democratic Party said “Saimir Tahiri’s case told Albanians that Edi Rama and Saimir Tahiri are one, are part of the same Mafioso cupola that transformed Albania into a haven of organized crime and drugs cultivation and international traffic”.

“Saimir Tahiri’s case showed that justices in Albania is hopeless as long as it will continue to be a hostage of the Prime Minister who is staying in power thanks to the votes bought with the groups of international drugs traffic”.
