Albanian President Ilir Meta received in his office today the chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha.

The meeting lasted nearly one hour, but neither of the press office gave details about what was discussed between the President of the Republic and the opposition leader.

On Monday, Meta told the investigative parliamentary commission he did not agree with the opposition’s decision to relinquish their mandates and the boycott of the local elections, calling both Basha and Premier Edi Rama as “stubborn” for their failure to sit in a dialogue table and find a solution to the political crisis.
