The Democratic Party (PD) has denounced another Socialist Party candidate in the monist local elections held on June 30. PD has requested today verifications about Mark Babani, elected mayor of Vau i Dejës, for which it claims that has been arrested, convicted and expulsed in Italy and North Macedonia, under three aliases.

PD said in a statement that Babani has declared in the decriminalization form that he has lived for five years in Italy. However, “from verifications of data in TIMS, it results that the citizen Mark Babani has never traveled to Italy in the period 1994-2005, at least not with his actual identity, which is an indication for the accuracy of the data made public before”.

The Democratic Party said Babani has used three other names that he has not declared in the form of decriminalization.

Babani’s three aliases are: Mark (father’s name) Ndoc Babani, born on December 24, 1965; Marq (father’s name) Saimir Babaj, born on June 11, 1967; Ylli (father’s name) Saimir Babaj, born on November 2, 1968.
