Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha has warned architects, Albanian or foreign alike, they will be held accountable before justice should they continue with the corruptive affair of the National Theater. Basha reacted after the order of the Ministry of Culture to deplete the Theater building with the aim to demolish it.

“I would like to tell openly to any foreign or Albanian architect, to any functionary from the least important to Edi Rama, that they will respond before justice for this massive corruption and the crime against the public assets”, Basha wrote on his Facebook page.

“The project of the National Theater is a criminal and robbery project, with one single goal: the robbery of tens of millions of Euros by Edi Rama, the same as the national stadium project, where Edi Rama is the real owner of its half; the same as the new city ring road, where Edi Rama will steal millions of Euros. A psychic thief that is insatiable till he robs the whole Albania”.

Basha also warned that anyone who plans to build in the Theater area will be building their own jailhouse. “Let me be clear: the hole they think they’ll dig in the Theater’s site will be the hole they will fall in”.
