Democratic Party Secretary for Legal Affairs Çlirim Gjata said Albanian Premier Edi Rama remains the biggest enemy of the Judiciary Reform three years after it passed in the parliament. He added the Albanian citizens are today witnesses of how Rama has seized justice and how no politician has been punished by a court of law.

Gjata spoke to the media reporters about the verdict of the Court of Durrës to certify the mandate of mayor-elect Valbona Sako of the Socialist Party when only two days earlier the same court had ruled against the certification.

“The verdict of the Court of Durrës to change its ruling without an appellation is a symbol of the private justice Edi Rama has established”, Gjata said.

“This verdict and tens of others prove Edi Rama is the biggest enemy of equal justice for all. Three years after the consensual approval, Edi Rama’s private justice has not punished any high official”.

“Only a justice liberated by the dictate of Edi Rama and organized crime will guarantee free and fair elections that would enable governance in the interest of the citizens and bring ahead Albania’s European agenda”.
