The head of the Albanian opposition Lulzim Basha vowed once coming to power the Democratic Party government will start to search anywhere in the world for the money hidden by the officials of Edi Rama’s government.

“Our investigation will focus on the money”, Basha told a press conference today.

“From the very first day of our governance, we’ll commence a big action, unprecedented and unheard of, starting with Albania and spreading to other countries, to discover the corruption and the money. We’ll adopt an entire legal framework to discover the thefts, corruption and concessions. Every state contract will be considered as a potential criminal offence, no exclusions. Every entity, either private or public, from the simplest jurists to the Prime Minister, will be investigated over their wealth, in Albania and any other country. The money that has ended in Cyprus, Singapore, Cayman Islands, the money that has ended in mansions in Albania, Rome or New York, will be searched for and discovered”.
