Former chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) Kristaq Kume commented today the rulings of the Courts of Durrës and Tirana which denied the Mayor mandates to the Socialist candidates in Durrës and Vorë respectively.

Kume said this is a consequence of the lack of democracy and rule of law, adding that an intervention in the legal framework is necessary, to avoid the continuous crisis that derive from the laws nonfunctioning.

“The Electoral Code has been violated seriously, it is necessary to take all the measures for the return of the democratic laws, or else the problem will remain permanent and the crisis will always be there. We are you of the rails of a democratic society”, Kume told FaxNews TV.
