Albanian President Ilir Meta made some strong accusations today against the foreign embassies concerning the Judiciary Reform.
According to the President, the Reform went astray from a justice reform to a Ramareform, turning into a personal tyranny.
“I made every effort for the country not to become ridiculous with the Judiciary Reform”, Meta told a press conference today.
“Who are these ambassadors that are reminded on Saturday that the Constitutional Court may rule upon who is right after the elections”, Meta said, referring to the rejections made by Premier Rama to his Decree of June 10 to postpone the local elections of June 30.
“Let’s see why the reform turned into a Ramareform. The reform is a personal tyranny. The Albanians cannot accept it. Mujo Ulqinaku (an Albanian army officer who fought against Italian invasion on April 7, 1939) was alone and went to fight there (in the Durrës harbor). Do you think Mujo alone would win against the Italians? (No) but he was a patriot”, Meta said.
