Vice Chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Petrit Vasili was sarcastic in his comment for OSCE. After a declaration made by the Organization’s Delegation to Tirana about the elections, Vasili said OSCE is so lucky because it has been given the chance to see the forgotten elections of the Party of Labour, which ruled the country from the end of the World War II till 1991, before changing its name into the Socialist Party, currently in power.
“In the time of the Party of Labour, OSCE could not monitor the 99%-participation elections, because it couldn’t enter even its head in Albania”, Vasili wrote.
“Today, in the time of the dude and the Renaissance, OSCE has been given the possibility to watch the elections of the Party of Labour, on June 30. Not only watch them, but also certify them, even with a bigger victory than 99%, with 101%. Good luck and enjoy the black comedy, OSCE!”
Vasili reacted after the OSCE declaration on the elections of June 30, which among others said that “As always, the OSCE stands ready - as a supporter and friend - to work with national institutions towards advancing the country’s priorities, ultimately in the interest of all Albania’s citizens. After 30 June, the OSCE will be strongly advocating for reinvigorated efforts towards reform in the country, including with respect to the judiciary, according to the demands and aspirations of Albania’s people”.
