Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said today Albania will never have free and fair elections as long as Edi Rama will be Prime Minister and the vote thieves won’t be put before justice.
Speaking to media reporters, the opposition chief repeated that the local elections programmed for June 30 are null and void and will not be recognized.
“In Albania there are and will not be free and fair elections as long as Edi Rama is Prime Minister and as long as the criminals of the politics and from the streets that stole the elections in Durrës, Dibër and the whole Albania are not put before justice. The elections of June 30 are and will be null and void”, Basha said, adding this is an attempt for a coup d’état from Rama in order to take all the local government under his control, “with the same mobs and criminals he stole the elections of 2015 and 2017”.
Basha assured the opposition and the citizens will stand up to defend the Constitution and democracy.
“We won’t allow farcical and illegitimate elections. We will not allow Edi Rama’s criminal autocratic regime to be installed for good in Albania. No step back! We’ll take Albania’s fate in our hands”, the opposition chief promised.
