Chairman of the Republican Party Fatmir Mediu said today in a press conference that the Albanian citizens have the right to defend their right not to allow elections with one party only after Albanian Premier Edi Rama’s acts.

He said Rama has seized the Electoral College and has threatened the judges with vetting.

“Rama has destroyed the parliamentarism, has made it ridiculous”, Mediu said.  

“The process of June 30 is the installation of a coup d’état and of a state of crime. That’s why the citizens, in compliance with the President’s Decree have the right to not allow these elections”.

Mediu also appealed to the international partners to stop Edi Rama’s electoral crime with eventual consequences for the whole region.
