Vice chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Petrit Vasili said the Electoral College showed it is under Albanian Premier Edi Rama’s control after the decision to reject the request of the Party for Nation Unity (PUK) to unregister from the local elections in compliance with the President Ilir Meta’s Decree for the call-off of the June 30 as the elections date. By rejecting the PUK’s request, the Electoral College rejected the recognition of the Presidential Decree too.

“President Meta was fair cancelling the elections. We are in a critical situation where 56% of people do not have a candidate for what Rama calls as elections”, Vasili told Syri.net today.

“If we know about the Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg, these are not recognized as elections, but we must back off because Edi Rama wants to take 51 municipalities on the table, because he wants monist elections”.

Vasili was asked also for the majority’s motion for the dismissal of the President of the Republic, which was discussed in the Commission of Laws.

“The one that chairs the Commission of Laws is known by all Albanians as one of the accomplices in the votes theft in Dibër”, Vasili said.
