A Socialist Party MP and his clan have clashed with the police forces that had found 3000 plants of cannabis in an area of and rented by him. The news has been published by former Premier Sali Berisha who was tipped by a police officer.

Berisha wrote that the police had discovered the narcotic plants in the arable land used by Rrahman Rraja , a Socialist MP in the area of Fushë Krujë, a few kilometers north of Tirana. The police operation was blocked by the intervention of the Socialist deputy and his brother, who were on the brink of an armed conflict with FNSH, the Special Forces of Quick Intervention, which were forced to leave the area after being ordered directly from Tirana.

Last year, Rraja and his brother were accused of releasing forcefully Rraja’s son from the police station, pointing their handguns to the vice commissary, who later left the country. Rraja’s son was accused of rape but later the prosecution dropped the charges.
