A crazy and unimaginable theft from Edi Rama has been considered the €290-million project of the road Milot –Balldren, only 17 kilometers long. Former premier Sali Berisha has denounced the corruptive affair on his Facebook page, comparing the road to Fier’s bypass project, which will be constructed with European Bank funds. The cost will be €2.2 million per kilometer, for a 27-km-long road, 10 kilometers longer than Milot-Balldren.

“The project to widen the 17-km road Milot - Balldren from two to four lanes, with a Public Private Partnership, will cost €17 million per kilometer”, Berisha wrote.

“Meanwhile, the 27 kilometers of Fier’s bypass will be constructed by the European Bank for €2.2 million per kilometer”.

The former Prime Minister warned Rama’s government that the contract, should it pass in the parliament, will be a subject to the Anti-Mafia Law, along with a number of abusive contracts denounced by the Democratic Party and every damage to the State Budget will be refunded.
