Thousands of Albanians citizens are headed to Tirana to join the opposition protest that is programmed to start less than two hours later in front of the prime ministry building.
The citizens are approaching the capital from all the counties of the country and there are reports of conflicts with the police that have made efforts to spoil their journey to Tirana.
Police Department of Korça has stopped the buses with protesters. Andrea Mano, the local branch leader of the Democratic Party, said “the police are pressuring on the citizens”.
According to Mano, “two protesters have been detained, whereas two buses have been blocked. The two detainees have been taken into custody without any explanation why”.
Meanwhile, many buses with protesters are traveling to Tirana from Shkodra, Kukës, Lezha, Burrel, and also from the south: Vlora, Fier and other cities, which shows the determination to join the rally despite the police pressure.
