Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha responded to Premier Edi Rama’s second invitation for dialogue reminding him that he should have stepped down twenty times already. Basha’s response came by addressing to the Albanian citizens and speaking about Rama in the third person.

“Should Edi Rama have paid a little more respect and attention to the people; should he have had just a little democratic awareness, he would have stepped down at least twenty times in the last six years”, Basha said today.

“He should have resigned when it was revealed he made the criminals Members of the Parliament; when (former Mayor of Kavaja) Elvis Roshi turned out to be a trafficker and a rapist; when Albania became the European storehouse of drugs; when the star of his government (former Interior Minister) Saimir Tahiri turned out to be a drugs trafficker; when (Elbasan’s Mayor) Qazim Sejdini’s company was caught with drugs; when (Tahiri’s successor) Fatmir Xhafaj was captured defending his trafficker brother; when it was revealed that (Rama’s brother) Olsi Rama was connected to the (drugs) gang of Xibraka; when the scandals of concessions worth hundreds of millions of Euros became public”.

“Edi Rama should have stepped down when it was revealed he had stolen the votes of June 25 (2017) along with Vangjush Dako, Damian Gjiknuri and the country’s most infamous criminals”.

“Edi Rama should have resigned when poor people were beaten and died in jail where they were held for unpaid power bills or additions to their houses without permits; when he pulled down the houses of the residents of Shkozë, new boulevard, Himara and anywhere in Albania without compensation or a legal process; when he poisoned with teargas the citizens that protest for their rights”.

“Edi Rama should have stepped down every time Albania was denied the opening of the negotiations for EU membership; when the Western investors left the country to be replaced with local oligarchs or with Eastern and Russian mobsters; when the European governments were alarmed because Albania transformed into a safe haven for the organized crime”.

“Edi Rama should have resigned when it was revealed he had negotiated Albania’s borders like Albania was his own property. He should have resigned when it was revealed he had negotiated Kosovo’s borders like Kosovo was his own property”.

“Edi Rama never resigned, he kept the power by all means, with criminals, money, oligarchs, media, and he is destroying the country every day. Totally consumed by power, exhausted by any ideas or will to govern, today he is holding hostage the European future of the Albanian citizens”.
