Albanian Premier Edi Rama ended a press conference today when asked about his recent declarations on travel bans to US and EU for electoral offenders. A few days ago, Rama warned that anyone who would try to undermine the local elections of June 30 would be blacklisted by the United States and European Union which would ban the offenders from entering those areas. Rama was asked about speaking like a US or EU ambassador during a joint press conference with EU high representatives after reaching an agreement with Frontex.

One of the present reporters asked the Prime Minister if he had consulted with and had received US and EU support to ban the Albanian electoral offenders, but the “ambassador” Rama responded by closing the press conference and leaving the room.

“Out of topic questions are not allowed”, Rama said and after that the speaker announced the press conference was closed.
