The Court of Tirana will decide tomorrow the security measure for former deputy of the Democratic Party Klevis Balliu who was arrested yesterday during a protest in the Astir area in the Albanian capital where he joined the citizens in the confrontation with Premier Edi Rama’s escort.
Balliu, who relinquished his parliamentary mandate with the other deputies of the opposition, has accused the police for physical violence. He requested an act of expertise which has been carried out and the medical report will be consigned to the prosecution.
Secretary General of the Democratic Party Gazmend Bardhi said Balliu’s arrest was political, unlawful and without proof. Bardhi said Rama is using the police against the citizens.
