Earlier elections are the only way out of the political crisis and it “would not be the end of the world” according to former Foreign Minister and Democrat Party MP Tritan Shehu.

He said the opposition protests give a clear message of escalation to force the majority for a solution.

“The crisis will aggravate unless the problems are solved. The snap elections in a democratic country are not the end of the world. The big crises that aggravate and explode are the end of the world. Snap elections are a way to overcome the crisis”, Shehu said.

He repeated the opposition’ determination not to allow the conduction of the municipal and mayoral elections of June 30.

“The elections cannot happen without the opposition. It would not be an election but the beginning of the crisis instead”.
