Albanian journalist and television host Ylli Rakipi has filed a civil lawsuit against Premier Edi Rama for libel. Rakipi claims Rama wishes to close his show “Të Paekspozuarit” (The Unexposed).

“He is a person that has bought the media and everything. I will request my trial against Rama to be with open doors so that the people can see the real Edi Rama”, Rakipi said.

“I have filed a counter-suit because he has offended and stomped on my dignity, as much as he could and any way he could”.

“This is a politic process, it is a continuous effort by Rama to make me close the show “Të Paekspozuarit”, which has hit the governments concessions and corruptive affairs”.

Rakipi said that only a court of law of Turkisht President Erdogan could find him guilty with the suit Rama filed against him, adding he still believes in justice and honest people.

“The media have numerous problems, but it is not the Prime Minister the one that fixes it. Rama is an Erdogan- or Putin-type dictator, he is not different from them”.
