Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said the German politicians are really worried about the developments in Albania and Premier Edi Rama.

“Germany has been very concerned for the developments in Albania for over a year now. The concerns have been expressed repeatedly and openly by the highest leaders of the German politics”, Basha said in a phone call with the host of “The Unexposed” show Ylli Rakipi.

“The chief of the government has chosen to ignore, attack or laugh at those who have spoken in the name of Germany and by the other hand he has lied to the Albanian people, like he did one year ago, when he declared the opening of the negotiations with EU”.

Basha, who has just returned from a visit to Berlin, said that Germany’s concerns are quite clear: “Albania has not made step forwards, it has move backwards instead. Not only has not fulfilled its tasks but has ruined the criteria of Copenhagen. It is my personal conviction from the meetings I had with high representatives of the European politics that Edi Rama is considered as a finished man, politically speaking. In the West he is considered a man that has just been crossed out”.
