Albanian Premier Edi Rama has blamed Germany for the inclusion of the electoral reform as a condition for the opening of the membership negotiations with the European Union.

Speaking about the Electoral Reform in the parliament today, Rama said Germany has been influenced by the opposition, which he calls a “friend of Berlin”.

“It wasn’t us who put the electoral reform as a condition for the opening of the negotiations. It was they (the opposition) and their friends in Berlin”, the Albanian Prime Minister said, implicating Germany in the “plan” the enemies of Albania, according to him, have made to prevent the country’s integration in the European Union.

Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha was missing in the protest rally today as he is currently in a visit in Berlin, with meetings in the Bundestag included in the agenda. Meanwhile, Premier Rama has not been for a long time now in official visits abroad, excluding one in Saudi Arabia. Rama’s only travels abroad have been only for his private pictures exhibitions, health visits and secret meetings with his mentor George Soros.
