The expert of the economic affairs in the Democratic Party, Dorian Teliti, said Albanian Premier Edi Rama has set a new world record with 42 businesses going bankrupt every day.

“Every day, 42 businesses close shops and declare bankruptcy. This is the latest dark record of Rama’ës government and his oligarch cronies”, Teliti wrote on his Facebook page.

“Through unfair competition, increased local and state taxes, the VAT scheme, increased price of power, tax on fuel, and abuse of officials, the government is forcing businesses to bankrupt and the citizens are leaving the country, having no options or hopes to live and work in this country”.

“In five years, 76.500 businesses have closed shops. There is an increase in the figures of the first two months of this year. 410 businesses went bankrupt in the first two months of 2015; 1075 in 2016; 1707 in 2017; 2150 in 2018; and the record number of 2466 businesses in the first two months of 2019”.
