The Albanian Muslim Forum has reacted for the use of mosque minarets by police to monitor the Saturday’s protest of the opposition.  Masked police officers also effectives in civil dress used the height of the minarets to film and photograph the rally near the parliament.

The Forum said it considers the act as “a serious violation of the principles of the untouchability of the cult objects, a condemnable intervention of the state police and the state not simply in the objects that are administered by the Muslim Community but also a direct meddling in the activity of the Muslim Community and in the religious affairs”.
