Thousand of Albanian citizens have started a protest rally in Tirana’s main boulevard outside the prime ministry building. The residents of the Astir area, who have been protesting for months against the project to pull down their houses and livelihood, made a surprise call to the police forces engaged to keep the public order.

“Take off your hats and join us”, was the appeal of the protesters addressed to the police effectives that are deployed outside the prime ministry building.
